City expects stepped-up land rush by developers
Brace yourself for another flood of development applications, is the message from Blaine community development director Terry Galvin.
At the June 13 city council meeting Galvin told council members to expect new applications for major developments in the coming month, including a new condominium proposal on Semiahmoo spit.
“The indication’s we’ve gotten is that it will be a high quality development,” Galvin said. The proposal as described to him by the Canadian developer is for three buildings, a total of 55 condo units, to be built between the Beachwalker units and the hotel.
