Blaine marina drowning victim identified

Quinn Robert Baker, 33, was the man whose body was recovered from Blaine marina two weeks ago according to Whatcom County medical examiner Gary Goldfogel and Blaine police chief Mike Haslip.

Baker was living aboard his boat in the marina for some time prior to his death. Haslip said that they have not been able to determine how Baker drowned. There was no evidence of foul play, and the victim was known to be physically limited, “which would have hindered his ability to save himself if he fell into the cold waters of the marina,” Haslip said.

Baker’s family assisted in identifying his remains, and met with Blaine police detectives earlier this week.
