League of Women Voters hosting forum
on homeland security and civil rights

The League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom County have set a forum on homeland security and civil liberties.

Speakers will include Neal Clement, director of the Whatcom County Division of Emergency Management, Whatcom County sheriff Bill Elfo, Jan Pete, passenger branch chief with U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection; Jasper MacSlarrow, district representative for U.S. representative Rick Larsen; and Mark Polin from the American Civil Liberties Union.

The forum takes place on Saturday, February 19 from 10 a.m. until noon in the lecture room at the main branch of the Bellingham Public Library. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
