How to prevent a heart attack
Pat Gilson, originator and chair of the popular “Chicken Soup for the Mind” lecture series at Semiahmoo, announced earlier this week that Dr. Bill Lombardi will speak next month on things people can do to help prevent heart attacks.
Lombardi, a board certified cardiologist, is medical director of North Cascades Cardiology in Bellingham. He formerly was an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the theater at Semiahmoo Resort. Tickets are $5 each and must be reserved by Tuesday, February 1, by calling Gilson at 371-6411. Dessert and coffee will be served.
In March the group will again hear from astronomer Kristine Larson, a popular speaker whose parents Larry and Bonnie Larson live in Blaine.
