County council delays adoption of Birch Bay community plan

The Whatcom County Council, meeting until after midnight Tuesday night, July 27, amended the Birch Bay Community Plan to exclude acreages at both Birch Point and Point Whitehorn from the Birch Bay Urban Growth area (UGA) but did not pass the plan itself.

Another public hearing will be scheduled in the near future to finalize the plan.
