Clark celebrated on his book
Blaine city council celebrated the completion of Richard Clark’s history of the Peace Arch, which is now available at the Blaine library. “I was the first to check it out,” Clark said.
At the June 28 council meeting mayor Dieter Schugt presented a plaque to Clark in appreciation of his work on the book, and of his years striving to promote the arts in Blaine. “He has always been the person to keep the arts going in Blaine,” agreed former school superintendent Gordon Dolman, to whom Clark dedicated the book along with Dolman’s predecessor, Vernon C. McDonald. “He always walked the walk.”
