Garry Parenteau of the Point Roberts Yacht Club won both of this past Sundays Bill VanDerBorn Memorial races for division 2 in his San Juan 28 Dream Scape. He finished well enough in the previous days distance race, the TD Canada Trust Cup, that he also took home the White Rock Cup as over-all division winner for the weekend of racing, sponsored by the International Yacht Club of Semiahmoo and White Rock.

Newlyweds Arnold and Yvette Smith from Vancouver, who said theyd registered for new black mylar sails for their boat instead of silverware or toasters, took home the over-all trophy for division 1.

Division winners for Saturdays Trust Cup, a distance event that took boats from White Rock to Birch Point and back via Point Roberts, were Cajun in division 1, Flying Cloud in division 2, Late Starter in the cruising division and Flying Geese in the multi-hull division. Winners in Sundays two-race Bill VanDerBorn Memorial were Impetuous 2 in division 1, Ty-En in the cruising class and Bad Kitty in multi-hulls. Results from both races were combined to determine over-all winners Cajun in division 1, Dreamscape in division 2, Ty-En in the cruising class and Flying Geese for the multi-hulls.
