Wag the Dogs: Pet grooming at your home

So the dog needs a bath and clipping, but your schedule wont allow you to take a trip to the groomer. Theres a simple, affordable solution: call Linda King.

Ill come to you, said King, owner of Wag the Dogs mobile pet grooming. At your home, at your convenience. Ill pull right up in your driveway.

King now offers her mobile grooming service in the Blaine-Birch Bay area. I like working one-on-one and meeting people, she said, when asked why she provides mobile service. I dont like keeping dogs in cages all day.

Instead of using a cage for the dog, King has a van in which she can wash, cut and groom dogs individually. Its a van thats totally self-contained, she said.

Since the service is mobile, its not only easier for the dog owner, but for the dogs themselves. Although the dogs are in a van, they are still near their home and theres no worry about reactions to other dogs.

King, who has a broad background in animal care - including studies in grooming, zoology and animal nutrition - is currently looking for office space in the Blaine-Birch Bay area, as she plans on having both a mobile service and a shop. Shes also planning on holding free nail clipping clinics with Dr. Jack Schuman of the Cat and Dog Clinic in Blaine.

For more information, call Linda King at 303-2341.
