Volunteer blood screeners needed

Puget Sound Blood Center seeks volunteers to help at mobile blood drives and at donation centers.

Volunteer opportunities include registering people before they give blood, serving refreshments while monitoring donors after they donate blood, calling to remind donors of their appointment, and driving Blood Center vehicles to deliver blood and supplies. (Deliver volunteers are required to have a valid Washington state license). Hours are flexible.

Volunteers also are needed to screen bone marrow donor applications for required information and bone marrow donor criteria at community fairs, festivals, special events and blood and marrow drives. Screeners will be trained.
