Blaine city manager Gary Tomsic recently completed a two week coarse at the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings. Montana. Tomsic describes the coarse as an auctioneers boot-camp. In addition to constant practice in developing the “auctioneer’s chant”, students learned about antiques, collectables, auto, livestock and real estate.

Tomsic said he has been interested in auctioneering for some time. He hopes to use his new skills helping local charity groups raise funds and just have fun with his new-found skills. .
