Blaine head football coach Jim Rasar has announced his
intention to resign. His resignation should be finalized
January 28 at a school board meeting.
Rasar cited the programs inability to attract more students and the lack of improvement during the past two seasons. Blaine has regularly attracted 30 40 players per year while several other North Cascade Conference teams have had turnouts of 50 60.
In nine years under Rasar, Blaine has had only one losing season and has gone to state playoffs twice - the Borderites had a 51 32 record.
