Park Programs

BP Cherry Point Refinery and Birch Bay State Park have begun their 2001 Summer Interpretive Programs which are held at the park’s wildlife theater.

Call 371-2800 for more information. Each program starts at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

• July 7: Song Birds of Coastal Forests
• July 14: The Art of Tracking Wildlife
• July 21: Coyote: Myth and Reality
• July 28: Marine Mammals of the Salish Sea
• August 4: Eagle: The King of Raptors
• August 11: Mountain to Sea: Northwest Wildlife and Habitats
• August 25: Gulls of Land and Sea
As well, talks on salmon will be held, beginning at 10 a.m. except for August 18 and September 1 which start at 7 p.m. Talks are on the salmon life cycle, Terrell Creek’s water quality and how we as humans fit into the picture.
