Man charged in motorcycle death

Following a motorcycle accident that killed 32-year-old Blaine resident Richard Lee May, a Ferndale man has been charged with leaving the scene.
According to Whatcom County court reports, May rear-ended the motorcycle of Corey l. Hadrath, 23 of Ferndale; both riders were knocked off their bikes, and May was killed by a passing mini-van driven by a 55-year-old Blaine woman.

No charges are anticipated for the van’s driver.
