The Editor:

Last Thursday we were excited to read the ballroom dance article in the paper.  Unfortunately, our contact information was omitted from the article. It is not likely that people will just show up, as it is not a studio. Can there be a followup notice sharing our contact information in this weeks paper, while last week's article is still fresh in peoples' minds?  Our Blaine class has been and is currently taking place and to join our class they need to have our contact information, otherwise, the article was simply a story.
The contact information is 360/739-7169 or email successbloom@yahoo.com.

Thanks again for your support.

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Blaine High School softball and baseball teams we would like to thank all those who
attended our spaghetti dinner on January 9 at Big Al’s.  It was very successful and we were able to purchase two indoor
batting cages to replace the old, worn-out ones.
We would like to thank the following for their donations to the raffle: Cindy Freeman, John & Suzanne Dougan, Mike & Kris Trueblood, Duty Free America, Bayside Beauty Salon and Sports Unlimited.  Another thank you to Blaine Building Center for their donation of snap clips to hold the nets up on the cables.
Our very special thanks to Big Al for allowing us to use his facility.  The food was great and he is a very supportive booster of youth activities.  We wish you and all our supporters a very bright and happy new year.

Letters Policy

The Northern Light welcomes letters to the editor; however, the opinions expressed are not those of the editor. Letters must include name, address and daytime telephone number for verification. Letters must not exceed 350 words and may be edited or rejected for reasons of legality, length and good taste. Thank you letters are limited to five individuals or groups. A fresh viewpoint on matters of general interest to local readers will increase the likelihood of publication. Writers should avoid personal invective. Unsigned letters will not be accepted for publication. Requests for withholding names will be considered on an individual basis. Only one letter per month from an individual correspondent will be published.
