Letters to the Editor

The Editor:
With the presidential primaries fast approaching, our country finds itself at a crossroads. Will we condemn ourselves to four more years of unconstitutional legislation, bankruptcy, and warfare? Or will we forge a new beginning and restore hope to the USA?
Friends, if you believe that the time has come to restore liberty and prosperity to our great nation, congressman Ron Paul is your candidate.
Who is Ron Paul? Dr. Ron Paul is a 10-term republican congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas. As a member of Congress, he has never voted to raise taxes, never voted for an unbalanced budget, never voted to increase the power of the executive branch, never taken a government paid junket, and has never voted to raise congressional pay.
Ron Paul is the only member of Congress who refuses to participate in the lucrative congressional pension program. Ron Paul voted against the Patriot Act, against regulating the internet, and opposed the war in Iraq from the outset.
Ron Paul strictly follows his oath to obey and uphold the Constitution. In an age where the word “politician” is synonymous with “liar” and “scoundrel,” congressman Paul is the sole exception.
Vote Ron Paul, and restore hope to America in 2008.

The Editor:
I would sincerely like to thank The Northern Light newspaper for the article they ran on Our Place Café and the support that was shown by everyone’s patronage. It is regrettable that not everyone was served in a timely fashion and I have had to make some changes that I truly hope will eliminate most of the problems that occurred.
I appreciate the support that was shown and hope that for most of you the experience was a pleasurable one.
Our goal is to provide you with good service and good food at a reasonable price for all who walk through our door.
Thank you all.

The Editor:
RE: Potential voters: Everybody, somebody, anybody and nobody.
Somebody concluded that everybody would vote because almost anybody could - but nobody did! Somebody blamed anybody when nobody did what everybody should have done. Nobody should have to tell anybody that when somebody votes everybody wins; that’s a given - so vote!
