The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is offering a six-hour Understanding Conflict Workshop, Wednesdays, May 20th and 27th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This interactive workshop is designed to develop participants’ awareness of their own approach to conflict, and to increase their skills and capacity to better manage conflict as it arises in their home, community, and work environments. Participants will learn how to listen actively and assert their needs, understand their own response to conflict, and communicate effectively in high-stress situations. The Understanding Conflict Workshop is offered quarterly and pre-registration is required. The cost of the class is $75 and scholarships are available. Classes will be held at the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, located at 13 Prospect St. Suite 201, Bellingham.
