PET FOOD DRIVE BENEFITS LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS
Whatcom Pet Care Network partnering with 39 local businesses to collect donations.
Everyone is invited to participate in a Holiday Pet Food Drive to benefit the Whatcom Humane Society’s Pet Food Bank, the Ferndale Food Bank, the Blaine Food Bank and Project Hope in Lynden.
“Whatcom Pet Care Network collected over 2,700 lbs. of pet food with our last holiday drive. This year our goal is 4,000 lbs. to help Pet Food Banks that distribute food to families who struggle to feed their animals.” Stephanie Lilly
Many businesses agreed to host bins for pet food collection November through December. An interactive map of donation locations and a full listing of all the local businesses participating is available at whatcompetcare.com. Whatcom Pet Care Network organizes the event, manages the boxes and distributes the donations.
“Bellingham Pet Supply is offering a 10% discount to customers who donate to the Pet Food Drive at their location. Your Pet’s Genie is selling pet food at cost for any donations.” Stephanie Lilly
