County sends clarification letter to SSA Marine regarding Cherry Point terminal

I was unfortunately unable to attend today's Whatcom County Council committee of the whole meeting, at which the proposed Gateway Pacific was to be discussed. I did, however, come across a letter from county planning supervisor Tyler Schroeder to SSA Marine lawyer William Lynn responding to Lynn's letter requesting clarification from county planning and development services (PDS).

County Council to vote on Harbor Shores sewer agreement

The Whatcom County Council will hold a public hearing and vote tonight, July 12, on whether to grant a franchise to the Harbor Shores Sewer Corporation for eventual installation of sewer lines for the Harbor Shores development off of Blaine Road. The franchise will give the sewer corporation the right to access county rights-of-way for installation and maintenance of sewer lines for 25 years.
