Plans for a $13 million roundabout project are moving ahead at full speed, according to officials speaking at Blaine City Council.

An unidentified briefcase found in the NEXUS enrollment center led Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials to close the American side of the Pacific Highway border crossing Wednesday around 4 p.m.

Kyle Dhanani, a 2005 graduate of Blaine high school, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers of the American League last week. Dhanani, 21, has been a student at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C., where he played shortstop for the WolfPack.
