Blaine junior Evan Piccioni was recently selected to participate in the Washington Aerospace Scholarship program sponsored by the Museum of Flight, NASA, Boeing and Microsoft. The six-year program is based on GPA and future career goals such as becoming an aerospace engineer. In addition to his regular high school courses, Evan also takes online classes through the Museum of Flight and the Johnson Space Center high school in Houston, Texas. Students selected to participate in the summer residency program will spend a week in Seattle working with professional aerospace engineers and astronauts on a human mission to Mars.
