The Editor:
The Blaine school district board is pleased to join Governor Gregoire in official recognition of Classified School Employee Week. The week of March 10 – 14 has been proclaimed as an opportunity to express appreciation for the dedicated individuals working with and helping children in Washington’s public schools. Currently there are 135 classified school employees in our district. They are involved in nearly every aspect of education including maintaining school buildings and grounds, providing secretaries and clerical assistance, preparing and serving meals, providing and maintaining transportation, keeping school facilities clean and orderly, assisting in the classroom, and many other services.
On behalf of the Blaine students and our community, we thank the classified employees for their dedicated participation as partners in learning.
Ron Spanjer, superintendent
Blaine
