REPORTS
June
12: A parent of a middle school student contacted the
Blaine police department to report that her son was gone
from school with another student and she wanted to report
him missing. Checking online, she found that he was online
at an unknown location. Known associates of her son were
also missing from school. The truants are being sought.
June
12: A citizen reported having their cell phone stolen
overnight, from an unlocked vehicle parked in front of
their home on Wood Duck Way. There is no suspect information
at this time. A report was taken and police personnel
were advised for patrols.
June
11: Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance
and contacted an upset man at a residence in the 300
block of E Street. He had been yelling, but not at anyone
or anything in particular. Officers remained on the scene
long enough to ensure the problem was under control and
not deteriorating, then left the area.
June
11: Blaine police assisted the fire department on a call
of a possible structure fire at an apartment complex
in the 1600 block of Runge Avenue. Officers provided
traffic control until the fire department completed their
investigation into an overheated baseboard heater.
June
11: A resident called to report that a person was sitting
on the back steps of their business drinking a beer
and behaving strangely. The man was contacted and found
to be a U.S. transient who took to drink after being
denied entry to Canada at the nearby customs crossing.
He received a warning for drinking in public and coupon
for a ride to Bellingham.
June
11: A Blaine resident reported to officers that her daughter’s
jacket had been stolen from the soccer field in April,
then recovered a couple of weeks later when classmates
saw another girl wearing the coat. The 13-year-old suspect
and her parents refused to make restitution for the damage
and wear to the new jacket.
June
10: An officer’s
investigation revealed that a person was driving with
a suspended driver’s license.
The 27-year-old Blaine resident was stopped,
arrested, and released with a mandatory court appearance.
Her vehicle was impounded. |
