Master Food Preserver and Safety Advisor Training: Begins
March 22, 9:30 a.m. 3 p.m., Community Food Co-Op,
1220 N. State St., Bellingham. This intensive, 50-hour course,
trains volunteers in areas of safety and quality for all
methods of home food preservation and provides a general
background in food safety issues for the home kitchen. The
orientation meeting is March 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the WSU
Whatcom County Cooperative Extensive Office, 1000 North
Forest St. Upon completion of the free course, each volunteer
pays back 50 hours of volunteer time with educational outreach
