Master Food Preserver and Safety Advisor Training: Begins March 22, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Community Food Co-Op, 1220 N. State St., Bellingham. This intensive, 50-hour course, trains volunteers in areas of safety and quality for all methods of home food preservation and provides a general background in food safety issues for the home kitchen. The orientation meeting is March 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the WSU Whatcom County Cooperative Extensive Office, 1000 North Forest St. Upon completion of the free course, each volunteer pays back 50 hours of volunteer time with educational outreach programs.For more info, call 676-6736.
