Rasar resigns

Blaine head football coach Jim Rasar has announced his intention to resign. His resignation should be finalized January 28 at a school board meeting.
Rasar cited the program’s inability to attract more students and the lack of improvement during the past two seasons. Blaine has regularly attracted 30 – 40 players per year while several other North Cascade Conference teams have had turnouts of 50 – 60.

In nine years under Rasar, Blaine has had only one losing season and has gone to state playoffs twice - the Borderites had a 51 – 32 record.
