In her six-week session at the Blaine senior center, “Writing the Story of Your Life - a Spiritual Journey,” Jackie Hollett teaches more than putting one word in front of the other. “We use catalysts - pictures, images,” she said. “We learn to get them up from our minds and paint the picture in words,” she said. Participants walk away from the class with “a better understanding of what propelled them forward, what held them back and what sustains them now.” They write each week and share some of their work with others in the group. “Working with a supportive group is so important,” Hollett said.
