Semiahmoo Ladies Club Fundraiser: Sept. 8, 5 p.m., Loomis Trail clubhouse. This year the group’s fundraising bash will be a casino night complete with roulette wheels and craps tables. International Peace Arch 80th Anniversary: Sept. 8, 1 – 3 p.m. Travel back in time to welcome the late Samuel Hill as an reenactment of his return takes place at the Peace Arch Park. Dress up in the style of the 1920s (or casual attire) and celebrate with cake and punch. For help with dress-up or questions, call 332-7165.

“Moon Over Buffalo” Play: Sept. 13 - 15; 20-22, 8 p.m. (Sundays: 2 p.m.), Blaine Performing Arts Center. Blaine Community Theater will perform one of the funniest new plays to hit the stage in recent years. Tickets are $6 U.S. or $9 CDN.

International Sculpture Exhibition: Until September 30 enjoy the many pieces of art throughout Peace Parch Park and Blaine.
Blaine Senior Center Activities: Come participate in Tai Chi classes, quilt & sew, aerobics, China painting, walking and other great activities. Blood pressures taken Thursdays from the fire department personnel.
Whatcom Museum Events: The museum will explore ancient cultures and the world’s rainforests as well as local history and art in September.
