Lisa Marie Brimmer peacefully passed away October 8, 2001 at the University
of Washington Medical Center. Lisa was born July 16, 1976 in Bellingham, WA.
She graduated from Blaine High School in 1994 where she enjoyed playing the clarinet
in the school band, attended college for two years, graduated from Seattle
Massage School in Seattle and became a certified massage therapist. Lisa loved
to spend time with her friends, family and her cat, driving her Mustang, listening
to music, hiking, camping, exercising at the gym and was always ready to play
a hot game on Monopoly! Lisa had a warm and generous heart and smile for everyone
she met and she loved her nurses (too many to name). Lisa bravely fought leukemia
for 21 months. Lisa is survived by her parents, Steve and Sara Brimmer, her sisters
Margie and Kaitlyn; brother-in-law, Troy Harriman; nephew, Tyler, grandmothers,
Mary Brimmer and Elinor Blakely; best friend Tracy, and many wonderful aunts,
uncles and cousins. A service of Remembrance was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday,
October 14, 2001, in the Performing Arts Center in Blaine. Memorials maybe made
to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, 1100 Fairview Avenue, North, LY-120,

John Glennville Bradley, 80 of Custer, passed away on October 21, 2001 at Lynden
Christian Health Care. Mr. Bradley was born April 27, 1921 in Huntington, WV to
Ellis and Alverna (Clary) Bradley. He grew up across the street from Emma Ruth
Hicks and they married in 1939. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946,
was a truck driver for Bigge Truck Co. of CA for 25 years and was Operations Manger
for L.B. Foster in Hayward, CA. He moved to Whatcom County in 1972 and owned the
Shanty Town Tavern in Blaine. His wife Emma died in October of 1999. He is survived
by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Charlotte Bradley of Custer, his sister,
three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service, officiated by his Grandson Rev. Nate Bacon, was held at 2:00
p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001, in the Jerns-McKinney Funeral Chapel in Blaine
followed by burial, with full military honors by the American Legion Post #86,
in the Greenacres Cemetery. Arrangements and services are by the Jerns-McKinney

Arthur Joseph Stehle, age 82, of Everett, passed away October 17, 2001.
A former Blaine resident, Mr. Stehle was a member of the Mason Lodge in Edmonds
and Past Master of Kulshan Lodge #186 F&AM of Blaine. He enjoyed fishing
in Puget Sound, lake fishing and had a large stamp collection. He is survived
by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Carol Stehle of Lynnwood, two brothers,
one sister, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews. A Graveside Service, officiated by Donald Walter, Pastor Emeritus, was
held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2001, at Enterprise Cemetery. Memorials
may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, P.O. Box 4104, Bellingham, WA, 98227.
