Dress Making For African Girls: Oct. 27, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building, 2550 Thornton Rd., Ferndale. Brightly-colored fabric (plain or patterned) is desperately needed. Volunteers are needed to participate in making 160,000 dresses for the non-profit organization Mothers Without Borders.
