School Bus Delay and School Closure Information
Local Radio Stations: KARI (550), KGMI (790), KPUG (1170), and KWPZ (106.5) will announce any school cancellation, delay of school starting, or change in bus routes. These decisions are normally given to the radio stations by 6 am
If you hear no announcements, schools are open and on the same schedule. Please do not contact radio stations, school officials, or the schools. Stay tuned to KARI, KGMI, KPUG, and KWPZ.
School bus schedules or routes change only during the most severe weather or emergency conditions. Students who ride the school buses will receive schedule information concerning those changes in the bus schedules and routes. Since safety rather than speed is the determining factor, buses may run behind schedule when fog, ice, or snow conditions exist. Parents are urged to see that their youngsters are adequately clothed so that waiting in cold weather will be as comfortable as possible.
