POLICE REPORTS

October 28: A resident in the 700 block of Georgia Street reported someone broke into his garage and removed a stereo, MTX speakers, and amplifiers. The case is under investigation.
October 28: Officers found an injured duck in the roadway in the 1600 block of Peace Portal Drive. Officers removed the duck and contacted the wildlife rescue organization.
October 27: Officers assisted U.S. Border Patrol in the apprehension of three men suspected of smuggling marijuana on Sweet and Odell roads.
October 27: An individual was issued a citation at the Peace Arch POE for not having a license and in possession of marijuana. He was released to U.S. Immigration.
October 26: Officers received information from border officials that an individual recently released from Wisconsin State Penitentiary on felonious assault charges had been denied entry into Canada. The subject indicated he would likely be living at large (homeless) in Blaine. The subject has an extensive history of violent crime. He is described as a 37-year-old black male wearing a blue zip up sweatshirt. His feet are very bloody. Officers will try to locate the individual to provide him appropriate assistance.
October 26: Officers investigated an accident at Boblett and the truck route and determined the accident was caused by a car pulling between two trucks that was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver was cited for failing to yield.
October 26: A truck driver exiting the freeway used the right turn lane on the truck route and Boblett street to pass a truck that was turning left. The driver almost collided with other vehicles in the intersection. The truck driver was cited.
October 26: An 11-year-old boy reported a driver of a B.C. plated gray Honda Accord threw a large firecracker. The device exploded three feet from the boy. Fortunately, he was not injured. The driver fled and was not located. Under investigation.
October 25: An adult male was arrested in the 500 block of 8th Street for a WCSO felony warrant, two Blaine warrants, possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, DV malicious mischievous, DV unlawful imprisonment, assault of an officer, resisting arrest, interfering of reporting DV and possession of marijuana.
October 25: A person located a possible explosive devise in the 1500 block of Odell Street. The device was removed by Bellingham Police and will be destroyed by a bomb technician.
October 25: Officers responded to the 1700 block of H Street regarding juveniles that had threatened a store clerk. Officers located the juveniles and arrested one for felony threats and theft. The juvenile was booked into detention.
October 24: An officer found a suitcase in the 1800 block of Peace Portal Drive full of clothing and personal belongings. The items were booked into evidence for safekeeping until the owner can be located.
October 24: Officers received a report from a resident in the 600 block of A Street that someone had broken her bedroom window in an attempt to gain access to her residence. No suspects were located. The case is under investigation.
October 23: A U.S. Border patrol agent reported a vehicle driving north on the southbound shoulder of state route 543. An officer contacted the driver who did not want to wait in line any longer. The officer issued the driver a citation by summons.
October 23: A citizen contacted an officer and informed him of several kids pulling plants from a local gas station in the 300 block of D Street. The officer contacted the kids and advised their parents, who said they would contact the gas station.
October 23: Officers responded to the 200 block of D Street for a transient monopolizing a restroom. The female was transported to a shelter in Bellingham.
October 22: A business owner in the 1400 block of H Street reported an employee was suspected of stealing from the business. The business handled the matter internally but wished to document the theft.
October 22: An officer assisted a stranded transient by transporting him to the Lighthouse Mission in Bellingham. The transient was grateful for the ride due to the windy weather.
