Blaine
airport hosted the third annual Antique Aircraft Fly-in
on May 26. The event was pushed back a week in hopes of
getting better weather than last year. Mother Nature did
not disappoint.
Greg
Bunky Larson of Snohomish had a line all day
long for his $30 scenic rides over Semiahmoo and Birch Bay
in his 1928 Travel Air biplane. Arlingtons Black Jack
Squadron showed off their experimental aircraft and then
treated all those in attendance to a mini air show. The
pilots delighted the crowd with their formation flying.
The
show featured vintage planes, a visit from Airlift Northwest
and even free hot dogs. .
