Donkey Basketball: March 22, 7 p.m., Ken Waters Gym.
Riding rubber shoe-clad donkeys - real ones - Blaine high
school teachers and students will face off on the basketball
court in this fundraiser for the Future Farmers of America
in Blaine. Advance discount tickets are available in the
high school courtyard at lunch time or tickets will be available
at the door.

March 25, 3 p.m., Northlake Community Church, corner of
Britton and E. McLeod, Bellingham. Young musicians, ages
8 to 20, from all communities throughout Whatcom County
will be performing. Admission is free, donations are welcomed.

Academy Awards Night at the Mt. Baker Theatre: March
25. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. With the biggest screen
this side of Seattle, the theatre is able to project, via
live televised feed, all the larger-than-life glamour and
excitement of the Oscars. The fun part is you can come dressed
any way you like. Some viewers come in their pajamas, others
go for glamour, and many show up as their favorite movie
character. Tickets are by suggested donation of $10 per
person. Proceeds go to support the event and theatre programming.
Popcorn buckets filled with movie tickets and fun prizes
will be awarded to costume and ballot winners. For tickets,

encouraged to attend this workshop regarding updates to
Blaines manufactured home zoning regulations. For

Skywater April Fools Classic Golf Tournament: April 1,
2 p.m., Dakota Creek Golf. This fun-filled golf tournament
is for all ages with an awards dinner following the tournament.
Prizes for the best crazy dress and/or hat. Some holes will
have comical tee-off situations. Cost: $50 which includes
