Sportsmanship Award Win
Blaine Force got one win in six starts, the Sportsmanship Trophy and a wealth of girls’ fastpitch experience in the Long Beach Tourney in Ilwaco on June 16 and 17. The Force lost 5-0 and 9-1 to Rochester Aggression, split with Canby (OR) Red Devils, losing 7-3 and winning 6-1 and lost identical 8-2 decisions to Castle Rock Blaze and Vancouver (WA) Diamond Magic. Kristina Francis led the Force with a .416 batting average.

Post 86 Win Four
After defeating Bellingham 8-0 on June 12 at home and losing 10-2 to North Whatcom’s Lynden Lightning on June 13 at Lynden, Blaine Post 86 took a 12-7 decision at Ferndale on June 14 and swept a twin bill from Granite Falls 6-5 and 13-5 at the Pipe on June 16.

Playoff Win
After tying Ryan Kelly with a 5-under 27-hole total of 103, Blaine pro Chris Jorgensen won a Cascade Golf Tour event on the first playoff hole on June 11 at Port Ludlow G.C. to collect $2,500.
