Pilots heading to Blaine can now check out the weather in Blaine before they head out into the wild blue yonder.

Semiahmoo retiree Bob Anderson has set up a temporary camera to show the weather at Blaine airport on his TurboPilot.com website.

Anderson, who has been flying for 35 years, said the Web cam will be an aide to pilots deciding whether to return to Blaine.

Anderson hopes the demo will get people interested in a greater Internet presence for the city. “It’s a way to attract people to a city like Blaine,” he said.
