Cross tips!
Drink plenty of water regularly and often, even if you
dont feel thirsty. Your body needs water to keep cool.
Avoid drinks with alcohol or caffeine in them, because they
make the heats effects on your body worse. This is
especially true with beer, which dehydrates the body.
Wear eye protection as well as foot protection: Sunglasses
are like sunscreen for your eyes and they protect against
damage that can occur from UV rays. Be sure to wear sunglasses
that absorb at least 90% of UV sunlight. In addition, peoples
feet can get burned from the sand or cut from glass in the
sand, so shoes or sandals are recommended.
Watch out for the Terrible Toos
too tired, too cold, too far from safety, too much sun and
too much strenuous activity..
