Last chance for summer lessons
We
have to establish early in school children (and adults)
the belief that music belongs to everyone and is, with a
little effort, available to everyone, said Zoltan
Kodaly, Hungarian composer and teacher. Heres your
chance.
The last session of Summer Music Keyboard Classes will be
offered from July 30 - August 10. Classes of six-10 students
will be available for kids during the day and adults during
the evening.
Under the tutelage of Andy Harmening, aspiring keyboard
musicians will learn basic keyboard, music listening and
rudimentary composition skills in 8 sessions, Monday - Thursday.
Students from previous sessions will be grouped by level
of experience and age as possible. New beginners are encouraged
to come make music from Grades 1 on up.
The cost, approximately $30, will be based on the size of
the class. Registration will begin July 16th and end the
27th. Register at the Family Service Center, 785 H
St or call 332-7179 or 332-4993. Please leave students
name and fall grade level, previous experience, parents
name, and a day/eve phone number.
