Local students named to honor rolls

In recognition of high scholastic achievement, the following Blaine students have been named to the Whatcom Community College Dean’s List for fall 2000: Jeanette Armstrong, Sonia Beljean, Kathleen Capson, Brian Chang, Jim Chao, Saboora Chaudhry, Rachel Hassett,Ryan Hayes Nicholas Hoffman, Melissa Holton, Brian Johnson, Yelena Kovalenko, Jeanine Lindbloom, Heather Ooms, Rachell Pike, Lisa Prince, Jordan Riddle, Anna Sturgill, Alisha Whitaker, Rachel Williams and Marilyn Woodward.

From Custer, Rosalba Ayala, Kerri Bekubber, Rachel Lawson, Matt Loveday and Amy Marsh made the dean’s list.

Four Blaine students have been named to the University of Washington’s Dean’s List for the Autumn 2000 quarter. Seniors Alvin Chang, Tasha Kiemel, Soby Lastuka, and freshman Sarah Shore maintained grade point averages (GPA) of at least 3.5 out of 4 to qualify.

Alexis Macheras, Kathryn Smith and Leslie Seelye have been named to the dean’s list of Pacific Lutheran University for fall 2000. The 752 students on the list earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester to qualify for the honor.
