February
15: Officers responded to a medical aid call in the
500 block of Boblett Street. An adult male had fallen while
getting wood and was found an hour later. He was suffering
head and chest pains.
February 15: Officers responded to a medical aid
call in the 700 block of E Street. A male who was the victim
in an earlier assault in Bellingham was complaining of head
injuries and dizziness. The male was advised to file a report
with Bellingham police.
February 15: Officers contacted an intoxicated male
at a local business in the 200 block of D Street. The male
was about to get in his car and drive. He decided to park
his car and stay at a motel until he was able to drive.
February 15: Officers responded to a 911 report of
a verbal domestic dispute in the 800 block of Alder Street.
Officers kept the peace while the pair attempted to resolve
differences. No assaults/no arrests.
February 15: An individual on Boundary Court reported
a possible fraud involving a company called Navigator Golf.
Reported loss was $1,556 U.S. The case is under investigation.
February 14: A local business in the 700 block of
A Street reported that person(s) unknown had attempted to
pry open a public parcel box. There are no suspects or witnesses
to the attempted break in. An informational report was generated.
February 14: A local business in the 800 block of
Mitchell Street reported a number of juveniles who had exposed
themselves to an apparent mixture of spices. The contents
of the substance are being confirmed by a state lab. An
investigation is continuing.
February 14: A citizen reported that person(s) unknown
had entered her unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Bayview
and stolen a small amount of change. There are no suspects
or witnesses in the theft.
February 14: WCSO requested assistance with a domestic
where a weapon was possibly involved. Upon arrival WCSO
was present and the suspect was gone. However, he was located
and arrested. Officers were cleared of the assist.
February 14: Two parents reported that a much older
male was wanting to meet with their 15-year-old daughter
alone. The parents put an end to the problem and asked that
police document the situation in the event of a recurrence.
February 14: During the course of his duties, an
officer caused damage to city property. The officer completed
a report of the incident per department policy.
February 14: Officers responded to a report of a
residential burglary in the 1600 block of Bayview. Stolen
items reported were a pistol, laptop computer and silver
bullion. The residence was processed for evidence. The case
is under investigation.
February 14: A person informed an officer that he
thought he had seen some people in the field near his home
in the 2200 block of Odell Street. Officers investigated
and located a vehicle driven by local youths which had become
buried in the mud.
February 14: A citizen reported a man laying facedown
on a bench while vomiting in the 700 block of Peace Portal
Drive. An officer checked on the male who had drank too
much alcohol. The male refused assistance and was picked
up by a friend.
February 13: Officers received information that a
man with a felony arrest warrant was at his home in Blaine.
Officers checked the residence and located the subject.
He was placed under arrest and booked into Whatcom County
jail.
February 13: A resident reported suspicious persons
unloading a possible stolen vehicle from a moving van in
the 1300 block of Boblett Street. A Blaine officer contacted
the men and learned the vehicle was recently purchased at
an auction and was not driveable.
February 13: An officer assisted a lady who had locked
her car keys and oxygen bottle in the car. The door was
opened.
February 12: Officers were dispatched to the Peace
Arch POE in reference to a suspended driver. Officers verified
the driver was suspended, gave him a criminal citation and
released him. His friends truck was impounded.
February 12: A Blaine officer assisted two drivers
in exchanging information after they backed into each other
at the senior citizen center. There was minor damage to
the bumpers and no one was injured. The drivers parents
were notified.
