Local resident dies suddenly

A local man died behind the wheel and crashed into a vacant storefront at the Blaine International Center on Monday.

Officers responded to the accident scene just after 5 p.m. and found Benny Bennett, 49, already deceased. It is believed he suffered a heart attack prior to the accident.

Bennett’s family has established a memorial fund in his name at Banner Bank to benefit his young daughters, Wendy and Tracy. For more information contact John Bennett at 354-6819.
