November
29: An officer observed a motorist spinning his tires
and obstructing traffic. The driver was cited for negligent
driving, no proof of insurance, and failure to carry registration
in the vehicle.
November 29: U.S. Customs reported a convicted felon
in possession of a firearm at the Peace Arch POE. An officer
contacted the man who admitted being a convicted felon in
possession of a firearm. The case was forwarded to a prosecutor.
The firearm was impounded.
November 29: U.S. Customs reported a person driving
with a suspended drivers license. An officer confirmed
the suspension, arrested, cited, and released the individual.
The vehicle was impounded.
November 29: An individual in the 600 block of G
Street reported his drivers door lock had been punched
but there was no other damage. The case is under investigation.
November 28: Officers responded to assist the fire
department with a death investigation in the 8800 block
of Goldeneye Lane. It was determined the person died of
natural causes.
November 27: An officer stopped a motorist for an
equipment violation in the 1600 block of Peace Portal Drive
and discovered the driver has a suspended drivers
license and no proof of insurance. She was cited for DWLS/R
3rd and no proof of insurance.
November 27: A green and purple Bighorn ES Elite
bicycle was found on Mitchell and Georgia streets. It was
impounded for safekeeping.
November 27: A Blaine officer responded to vehicle
prowls in the 400 block of 10th Street and the 600 block
of G Street. A theft of a car stereo had occurred. The case
is under investigation.
November 26: A motorist at the Peace Arch POE was
issued a citation for DWLS/R 3rd.
November 26: A person was arrested for possession
of about 20 grams of marijuana, a baked cookie containing
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana
pipe). He was issued a citation with a mandatory court appearance
date.
November 26: A Blaine officer responded to a burglary
of a Playboy magazine that had occurred in the 400 block
of D Street. The case is under investigation.
November 26: An officer received a fraud complaint
of an internet business using a Blaine address. The officer
determined the company and principals reside in British
Columbia. The case has been referred to the RCMP.
November 26: A citizen in the 400 block of D Street
reported that person(s) unknown had forcefully entered his
unoccupied home and had stolen VHS movies. The case is under
investigation.
November 26: An officer responded to a vehicle on
fire on I-5. The officer and another motorist suppressed
the fire long enough for fire department personnel to arrive
and extinguish the fire. WSP arrived and investigated the
incident.
November 26: A citizen reported two small children
playing near and on the open second story window of a residence
in the 500 block of F Street. An officer spoke to the mother
of the children. A teenage daughter was counseled by mom
regarding her babysitting skills. No crime.
November 26: Officers investigated a two vehicle
reportable accident at state route 543 and Boblett. A driver
rear-ended another. He was cited for failure to control
vehicle speed to avoid a collision.
November 25: Officers responded to a domestic dispute
in progress in the 1000 block of Mary Avenue. Officer arrived
and determined the dispute was verbal and not physical.
The parties resolved the conflict and no arrests were made.
November 25: An anonymous person reported the discharging
of rifles in the city gravel pit on D Street. Officers checked
the area and found evidence to substantiate the complaint.
The suspects were gone upon arrival.
November 25: An officer responded to a possible suspended
driver at the Peace Arch POE. The driver was issued a criminal
citation with a mandatory court date for a suspended license.
The vehicle was impounded.
November 24: A resident in the 600 block of A Street
found a stray orange cat with a broken leg and took it home.
The cat did not get better. An officer gave the resident
directions to the Blaine Animal Hospital. The resident said
she would care for the feline.
November 24: A citizen in the 1500 block of D Street
reported finding her 15-year-old son in possession of beer
in the family home and requested police to determine if
he had been drinking. A PBT was administered with negative
results. The juvenile was not charged.
November 23: An officer assisted a citizen by transporting
an injured cat to the Blaine Animal Hospital. The cat is
part siamese and brown and black in color. The cat will
be waiting to be claimed by the owner.
November 23: An officer stopped a motorist for an
equipment violation and discovered the driver had a suspended
drivers license. Two passengers were arrested for
possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia.
November 23: Officers responded with fire personnel
for a male subject who had a stroke in the 1300 block of
Peace Portal Drive. Officers arrived and provided first
aid until fire arrived. Officers cleared with no serious
incident.
November 22: A Blaine officer responded to a possible
suspended driver at the Peace Arch POE. The officer confirmed
the man was suspended, issued him a criminal citation with
a mandatory court appearance. The vehicle was impounded.
November 21: A report was received of stolen crab
pots from the 800 block of Marine Drive. The case is under
investigation.
November 21: An officer assisted WCSO by responding
to the Pacific Highway POE for a female in possession of
marijuana. She was cited and released with a mandatory court
date.
