August
26: An investigation of an abandoned vehicle in the
1700 block of H Street revealed the blue Dodge Ram was stolen.
The investigation is ongoing.
August 26: Officers were dispatched to a physical
domestic in progress in the 500 block of F Street. After
an investigation, a subject was arrested and booked into
jail.
August 26: WCSO requested assistance in making an
arrest in the 4400 block of Sweet Road. Officers assisted
deputies in making three arrests. Two were felony arrestees
and one was a misdemeanor.
August 26: Officers responded to an assault complaint
in the 200 block of D Street. The complainant was found
to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers arrested
the complainant for minor in possession. The arrestee was
cited and released.
August 25: Officers were dispatched to a possible
assault in progress in I-5, 274 off ramp. Officers arrived
and found that a person was having an anxiety attack. Her
husband was trying to calm her down. Aid arrived and released
her at the scene. Everything was OK.
August 25: St. Josephs Hospital asked Blaine
officers to get in touch with the parents of a person who
had overdosed on drugs. The person was alive. Officers notified
the parents and assisted them in calling the hospital.
August 25: An officer stopped an individual in the
1500 block of H Street for a traffic violation and found
that her drivers license was suspended. An officer
impounded the arrestees vehicle and proceeded to cite
and release her.
August 25: An officer located a truck in a private
business parking lot. In the front seat of the truck was
an intoxicated male subject who was sleeping on a pad. The
officer took the subjects truck keys until the subject
sobered up.
August 24: A person in the 1700 block of Peace Portal
Drive reported finding a bullet hole in his vehicle. He
believed the incident occurred while he was at a local business.
The investigation is ongoing.
August 24: An individual reported someone used his
identity to obtain credit cards which were mailed to an
address in Blaine.
August 24: A motorist was arrested for DUI at the
Peace Arch POE. The vehicle was impounded.
August 23: An officer responded to an alcohol-related
aid call in the 300 block of B Street. The victim was not
transported to the hospital.
August 23: An officer responded to a two car non-injury
collision at Bell and Peace Portal Drive. One of the drivers
was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop
sign. A state collision report was completed.
August 23: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic
infraction in the 1100 block of D Street and discovered
the driver to have a suspended drivers license. The
driver was arrested, released, and the vehicle was impounded.
August 22: A citizen reported returning to his parked
vehicle in the 200 block of Marine Drive to find that someone
had cut the convertible roof and taken items valued around
$200. Damages were estimated at $1,000. There are no suspects
at this time.
August 22: An officer responded to a medical aid
call at a business in the 9500 block of Semiahmoo Parkway.
An employee cut the tip of their thumb in a piece of machinery.
The person was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
August 22: An individual reported a break-in to the
apartment of a subject in the 1000 block of Mitchell Street.
Officers collected evidence at the scene and are investigation.
August 21: Dispatch reported a small child had been
accidentally locked in a vehicle in the 1400 block of H
Street. An officer arrived and determined the vehicle needed
to be opened by a locksmith. The officer contacted a professional
who opened the vehicle.
August 21: U.S. Customs reported they were questioning
a male subject who had a suspended drivers license. An officer
arrived and arrested the subject for driving while suspended
and driving under the influence. The arrestee was cited
and released.
August 21: A person getting gas in the 300 block
of D Street left his truck running. His child who was in
a car seat reached over and locked the door. Officers gave
the man a tool and he was able to open the door. A warning
was issued for leaving the vehicle running.
August 21: A person in the 700 block of H Street
reported that a dog entered his house and injured his pet
bird. He does not expect the bird to survive. There is a
suspect animal and owner in this case. The investigation
is continuing.
August 21: An officer responded to an aid call in
the 700 block of A Street where a 40-year-old female was
experiencing abdominal pain. She was transported to the
hospital by medics.
August 20: A complaint in the 400 block of F Street
reported a young male subject had called her residence and
yelled at her in Spanish using profanity. The complainant
believes the caller is the same person she had reported
in the past for the same thing.
August 20: An officer received a report of theft
of tools from a parked vehicle in the 4400 block of Sweet
Road. The tools had been marked by the owner and should
be easy to identify.
August 20: An individual reported a subject ordered
a hand held computer via the internet and paid with a credit
card. The individual just received notification that the
credit card holder had not authorized the charge.
August 20: Officers were dispatched to the Peace
Arch POE for a suspended driver. Officers arrested the driver
and impounded his car. The driver was issued a criminal
citation and released.
August 20: While at the Peace Arch POE, officers
were notified that a person was in possession of marijuana.
The person admitted being in possession. Officers issued
the person a criminal citation and released him.
August 20: A motorist was issued a citation for DWLS/R
3rd at the Peace Arch POE. His vehicle was impounded.
August 20: Two people were arrested for possession
of stolen property (a 2000 Ford Expedition) at the Peace
Arch POE. The vehicle was stolen from California. The duo
were booked into jail.
