Semiahmoo Ladies Club Fundraiser: Sept. 8, 5 p.m., Loomis Trail clubhouse. This year the group’s fundraising bash will be a casino night complete with roulette wheels and craps tables. International Peace Arch 80th Anniversary: Sept. 8, 1 – 3 p.m. Travel back in time to welcome the late Samuel Hill as an reenactment of his return takes place at the Peace Arch Park. “Moon Over Buffalo” Play: Sept. 13 - 15; 20-22, 8 p.m. (Sundays: 2 p.m.), Blaine Performing Arts Center. Blaine Community Theater, directed by Spiral Barrett, will perform one of the funniest new plays to hit the stage in recent years. Tickets are $6 U.S. or $9 CDN.

International Sculpture Exhibition: Until September 30 enjoy the many pieces of art throughout Peace Parch Park and Blaine.
Blaine Senior Center Activities: Come participate in Tai Chi classes, quilt & sew, aerobics, China painting, walking and other great activities. Blood pressures taken Thursdays from the fire department personnel.
Whatcom Museum Events: The museum will explore ancient cultures and the world’s rainforests as well as local history and art in September.
