Bring four-star dining home

Ever thought of having a fancy dinner at home without having to lift a finger? Lewis Machado goes into the homes of his clients and gives them a night of cooking entertainment. “It’s kind of like the restaurant experience at home,” he said. “I come into your home, bring all the food and supplies necessary for making a three-course meal and cook it right there in your kitchen.”

Machado will cook almost anything, from roast beef to stir fry, while entertaining his clients with stories, jokes or lessons on cooking. “I like to bring a little fun to it, give them their money’s worth,” he said. Machado does all the set up and clean up. His signature dishes are Italian roast beef stuffed with garlic and cooked in red wine, and halibut breaded in potato.

Machado has been a personal chef for a year and a half now. “It’s one of the fastest growing legs of culinary arts,” he said. He began training to be a chef a couple of years ago because he thought it was a good idea and cooking was something he’d always enjoyed.
