REPORTS
April
3: U.S. Customs reported a man driving a car with a
suspended drivers license. A Blaine officer arrived
and confirmed the license was suspended and that the man
was driving. The man was cited and released. The car was
impounded.
April 2: Officers responded to a 911 report of a
possible suicidal subject in the 8600 block of Blue Grouse.
The female possibly had overdosed on medication. An officer
spoke to the female, who calmed down. She was transported
by medics to the hospital.
April 2: A citizen in the 400 block of Peace Portal
Drive reported that person(s) unknown had entered her unsecured
car and stolen the steering wheel, column and battery. There
are no suspects in the case.
April 2: U.S. Customs reported a man who had just
been returned from Canada by RCMP after a DUI arrest and
wanted to drive away. An officer determined the man to be
over a safe limit to drive. He decided to get some rest
instead of driving.
April 2: A store manager in the 1700 block of H Street
reported a suspicious person by an employees car.
The suspect was contacted by a Blaine officer and transported
to the bus stop.
April 2: A person was stopped going southbound on
I-5 for multiple traffic violations. The vehicle was impounded.
The driver was given a ride to a local restaurant to arrange
for a ride.
April 1: Officers were dispatched to a person walking
in traffic in the 1200 block of Mitchell Street. Officers
saw the man walking away from the area carrying a mailbox.
When he saw the officers he threw it in a yard. The man
was arrested and booked into jail. The mailbox was returned
to its owner.
April 1: Officers responded to a report of a person
slumped over in a chair inside a residence in the 900 block
of Adelia Street. The person was found to have passed away
by natural causes.
April 1: An officer observed a vehicle traveling
nearly three times the posted speed limit and swerving in
the 4300 block of H Street. The driver was arrested for
DUI. The vehicle was impounded. The driver was released
with a court date.
April 1: A person was stopped in the 600 block of
D Street for a traffic violation. Further investigation
showed his license was suspended. The person was issued
a criminal citation and released. The vehicle was impounded.
March 31: Dispatch reported a blocking, injury motor
vehicle collision in the 800 block of state route 543. Officers
arrived and treated the injured until fire arrived. Officers
directed traffic and took down drivers information.
One driver was cited.
March 31: An officer observed a vehicle driving at
double the posted speed limit in the 100 block of state
route 543. The driver was contacted and found to be driving
while her license was suspended. The driver was arrested
and the vehicle was impounded. The driver was released with
a court date.
March 31: A person in the 500 block of Adelia Street
reported several juveniles throwing eggs at her house. The
juvenile suspects were identified. As a result of an ongoing
problem, anti-harassment orders will be sought through district
court.
March 31: While officers were investigating an accident
in the 2800 block of Peace Portal Drive they heard numerous
shots being fired in the area. Another officer checked the
area and observed a car leaving blacked out at a high rate
of speed. The vehicle was not suspect.
March 30: A Ferndale municipal warrant was served
upon a person who was being booked into jail on a first
degree theft complaint from Blaine police.
March 30: Officers assisted a woman in the 200 block
of B Street who was accidentally locked in her bedroom and
could not open the door. Access to the apartment was gained
and officers were able to free the lady from her predicament.
March 30: Officers were dispatched to the Peace Arch
POE in reference to a person in possession of marijuana.
Officers arrested the individual and issued her a criminal
citation.
March 29: U.S. Customs reported an adult male in
violation of a protection order at the Peace Arch POE. An
officer also found the male was wanted in Texas for a fugitive
warrant. The warrant and order were confirmed. The male
was arrested for both and booked into jail.
