The local United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be hosting a special boating course to help women feel more confident at the helm.
“Confidence In Boating” is intended as a workshop recommended for women and taught by women. The course encourages women to voice their concerns and build confidence in their boating skills through discussion and hands-on training. Women from Flotilla 19 and 11 of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will teach the course.
The course will be held in the Blaine Marina conference room on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The course is free for auxiliary members and $50 for non-members at the door. To register, call or email Kathryn Wellington at email@example.com or 360/220-3872.
